You Are The Sea

The client:

You Are The Sea is an ocean-inspired sustainable clothing brand in the UK, founded by graphic designer and surfer Leyla Alexander. Leyla is passionate about using her creative design skills to raise awareness for the ocean and create fun t-shirts, sweaters, art prints and more. She donates £2 from every sale to Surfers Against Sewage.

The project:

Leyla had already written product descriptions for her website. But she felt they were a bit generic and bland – not like her playful brand personality!

Working within the confines of the Teemill website builder, I rewrote Leyla’s product descriptions. They now:

Tell the story and creative intention behind each design, letting each product stand out in an authentic way
Reflect Leyla’s brand personality and her down-to-earth, honest, playful, positive and caring tone of voice
Champion the sustainable credentials of each product
Speak compellingly and directly to her ideal audience of ocean lovers.
